    The Rev. Dr. Jason Alexander

    PRIEST-IN-CHARGE

    Jason began serving as priest-in-charge at St. Peter’s in December 2024. Born in Hot Springs and raised in Alaska, he returned to Arkansas for college at Hendrix and earned his M.Div. at Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, where he met his wife, Kate. He previously served for 15 years as canon to the ordinary in the Diocese of Arkansas, walking with churches and clergy through seasons of growth and transition. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality from Virginia Theological Seminary. Jason and Kate, rector of Christ Church in Little Rock, have three teenagers and a golden retriever named Maeve.

    PARISH ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Cindy was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa. In the 1990s, she and her husband Tim relocated to Arkansas. Their children, Carly and Tris, were both born here in Arkansas. Over the years, Cindy has built a meaningful career, having worked at UCA, Acxiom, and Hendrix College. She became a member of St. Peter’s in April 2024 and joined the staff later that year, in December.

    Lela Seay

    DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILY MINISTRIES

    Lela was born, raised, and educated in Arkansas. After obtaining a master's degree at UAMS, she moved to Texas and began a 35-year career as a speech-language pathologist. In 2017, responding to a deep sense of calling, she took on the role of Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Houston. She, along with her social worker daughter Jennifer and a cat named Sam, returned to Arkansas in 2023. Lela has been St. Peter's Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry since May 2023. She believes that following Jesus is the journey of a lifetime and that lifelong formation is an essential part of that journey.

    Colleen Davis

    BOOKKEEPER

    Colleen is the bookkeeper for both St. Peter’s and Camp Mitchell and holds a degree in psychology and economics. For 20 years, she homeschooled her and her husband Steve’s four children while also teaching in co-ops and serving as treasurer for various organizations. She loves dogs and medieval history.

    Dr. JoAna Rusche

    MUSIC DIRECTOR

    JoAna serves as Director of Music at St. Peter’s, where she leads the parish choir in a wide range of sacred music. She also teaches voice and related courses at the University of Central Arkansas as a member of the voice faculty. A dedicated educator, performer, and collaborator, she is especially passionate about mentoring college and international students through the St. Peter’s Choral Scholars program. She sees her work as an act of hospitality—creating a space where people feel known and supported. She holds degrees in vocal performance from UNC-Chapel Hill, UNCG, and the University of Michigan. She lives in Conway with her husband, Joshua, and her two stepsons.

    Dr. John Krebs

    ORGANIST

    John has been a member of St. Peter’s for over 30 years and has served as organist since 2023. He is Professor Emeritus of Music at Hendrix College, where he taught for 32 years. John earned degrees in music from Northwestern University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Maryland. He and his wife, Liz, have two sons, a rescue dog, and three rescue cats who keep life lively at home.

    Tammy Heffington

    HOUSEKEEPER

    Tammy has served as housekeeper at St. Peter’s for 25 years, faithfully tending to the church’s spaces with care and dedication. A Conway native, she is married to James and is the proud mother of two sons. At home, she’s kept company by Buck—a spirited rescue dog she suspects is part Chihuahua, part terrier—and a cat named Josie.
